We The Gente® is a 501(c)(3) public charity. We exist to create pathways to opportunity, economic mobility, and empowerment for Latino individuals and families, first-generation students, and communities that navigate life without a roadmap.

We collect information that helps us serve you better and deliver our programs effectively. This includes:
Contact Information: Your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address when you fill out forms, sign up for programs, request resources, or reach out to us via text or phone.
Program Information: Details you share about your educational background, career goals, family situation, and needs so we can match you with appropriate resources, workshops, and support.
Communication Records: Text messages, phone conversations, and form submissions that help us track your progress, respond to requests, and improve our services.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide exclusively to:
- Deliver programs, resources, and services you've requested
- Connect you with mentorship, workshops, and advancement opportunities
- Coordinate food distribution, bill assistance (Raíces Seguras), and crisis response support
- Send you updates about programs, events, and community resources
- Track program outcomes and measure our impact
- Improve our services and better serve our community
We never use your information for purposes you haven't agreed to, and we never sell or rent your data to anyone.

Customer data is not shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.

Children's Privacy
Our programs serve families and students of all ages. If you are under 18, we encourage you to involve a parent or guardian when sharing information with us. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without parental consent.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date. Your continued participation in our programs after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
